Why service?
Today most companies have at least one PC which is used on a daily basis. The computer is a vital business tool which is relied on heavily.
However, like all well used equipment, problems can crop up from time-to-time, and these usually occur at the most frustrating times. Regular servicing considerably helps to eliminate downtime, poor performance and crashes.
To keep downtime to a minimum, Prompt PC performs the complete service whilst on site. Typically 3 computers can be serviced simultaneously within a 5-6 hour period.
A typical service includes:
  • Prior to any work being carried out, the hard drive is completely backed up to a Prompt PC hard drive, thus ensuring that no vital information can possibly be lost during the service.
  • A full virus scan is always performed as well as removing programs that generate popups.
  • Redundant files, programs and processes are removed from the operating system and then an exhaustive analysis of the system registry, ini files, autoexec and config files is performed to maximise performance and to dramatically reduce down time due to 'computer crashes'.
  • Appropriate system file and program updates are then applied to the computer, prior to an extensive file de-fragmentation being performed.
  • The motherboard, processor, power systems and additional components are cleaned, with wear components (cooling fans) being changed as required. This ensures that dust build up does not cause burn out of any vital internal components.
  • Keyboard, monitor and tower cleaned because everyone prefers to work on a clean machine.
Prompt PC recommends that computers need servicing every 12 months to keep them properly maintained.
Why not consider using the Prompt PC Peace of Mind Plan to cover all your business' computer systems.
